Service Description

Join Folkestone dance company MCDC for a series of fun family multigenerational workshops exploring farming and folk traditions through movement, music and imagination. We’ll be planting seeds of imagination in young minds exploring what it's like to plough the land with a tractor, how farming communities made team work joyful, and creating our own parade to celebrate harvest. Come and jump, jig, join hands and wave a ribbon as we explore folk rituals and dances from different seasons. Choreographer Michaela Cisarikova will blend Slavik and British movement, from Morris dance to hip hop! Pop in for 1 workshop or sign up for all three! And join us again to share what we’ve created at the premiere of our new outdoor touring show Tractor Time! at Harbour Arm for the early May bank holiday. Children and their grown-ups are encouraged to participate. Suitable for ages 6 - 99 (younger ages are welcomed with accompanied adult)
