I Love Myself, Do You?

“I Love Myself, Do You?” dives into concepts of beauty, identity and self-worth, while exploring the old Cherokee fable of two wolves fighting within you.

One is good, the other is evil. Which one wins? The one you feed.

Riah creates a world in which a person’s hair stores all their memories. Imagine having the ability to look at a single hair and view the memory attached. Now imagine having the power to pull that hair out and erase the memory for good.

"...neat, complete, narrative driven production... A roller-coaster of rediscovery – through red aggression and blue hues – and a coming at peace with a turbulent mind and memories." Gender in Dance

The work has been performed at The Longfield Hall - UK, Stara Arena, Ostrava - Czech Republik, Dom Kultury Cadca - Slovakia and reworked and developed for the UK's biggest festival for new dance - Resolution 2017 at The Place, UK.

A truly original concept. A daring interactive performance which relies on the creativity of the audience to shape and mould the direction of the piece, creating unique outcomes with each performance. What will happen this time?

This outdoor work has been commissioned and performed at Reading High Street by Junction Dance, Lilford Gallery by JimJam Arts and Natalie Su Company as part of Beyond Boundaries at The Broadway Theatre.

PLASIX

PLASIX is a physical contemporary theatre piece based on the development of the One Move Technique, a concept that constructs choreography based on only one move and its experimentations.  Dancers travel through unexpected places in a short amount of time through a juxtapositional metamorphosis of contrasting locations. The continual and seamless morphing of one location to the next is used to take the audience on an engaging journey.

“Most magnificent MCDC – you made us laugh and enthralled us with your creativity – wonderful and charming work, such a pleasure to see it at JUMP” Danielle Corbishley, artistic director of Beautiful Creatures Theatre
